These are a perfect breed for new keepers who want a docile gentle breed that produces a large number of eggs. Warren Brown are the typical commercial type Hens used in egg production and can be expected to lay up to 350 Brown eggs a year.

The egg laying machine! If eggs are important you’ll never go wrong with these Hens. Their actual name is Dekalb White, a hybrid based on the White Leghorn. Pure breed white Leghorn are very lively, this hybrid version are calmer and a lot more enjoyable to keep. We actually use this breed in our own free range laying flock as they out lay everyone, you can expect around 350 pure White eggs a year.

Well known for their dark Brown egg shells, these Burfords are a heritage breed based on the Copper Black Maran. Calm in nature and very easy to handle, they will be your best friend if you let them. Burfords lay around 300 dark Brown eggs a year.
